- Aquarius
with a Sagittarius ascendant, I started being interested in astrology
in 1974. I found the psychological and evolutionary aspects of
the subject more compelling, and furthered my knowledge with
research into aspects of: medical astrology; redefining the “Vertex
point” and ancient theories such as that of the “Arabic
Parts”. I have authored books and papers published in the
major astrological publications, and have held several conferences
and seminars all over Italy and abroad. I have represented Tuscany
at the Italian Centre for Astrology (CIDA) since 1999, and I
am a member of the Council of Directors of the Association. I
regularly host individual and group courses. I live in Florence
where I also work as an astrological consultant.

THE ARABIC PARTS

- This
book, arguably a unique work in the Italian astrological world,
explores an ancient interpretational system based on the use
of “sensitive points” resulting from simple arithmetic
calculations. These points, known as the Arabic Parts (or Fates,
as they were called) have not gotten the attention they deserve
(with the exception of the Fortune Point and few others). The
book proposes a redefinition of the calculation and reading methods
of these Parts, providing a simple way of approaching this ancient
tool. On top of the Fortune Part and Solar Part (or Spirit Part,
as it is known today), another 24 Parts are examined, ranging
from Art to Life, Goods to Inheritance, Death, Children, Accidents,
Work, Mother, Illness, Marriage, Success, Travel, and more –
thus fulfilling the needs of the modern astrologer. Moreover,
a new way of using the Fortune and Spirit points together in
interpretation is explored. This highlights their value as tools
to aid in understanding a person’s evolutionary processes.
For each Part there are explanations as to its calculation method,
why and how it is used in the Birth Chart and in a Return Chart,
illustrated by 73 examples. The book is rounded off by an explanation
of the Marriage Part and Illness Part in all the signs.
